Flowboxer of the month – August 2021: Babyface

This month, the Flowboxer of the month theme is Cosmetic and Beauty! As always, in this article, you’ll not only find the best in class from the Flowbox community, but also inspiration from the winner’s creative initiatives.

Without further ado, our Flowboxer of the month for August 2021 is… Babyface! We also want to congratulate all of the other nominees; it’s truly too bad that there can only be one winner.

The Swedish company Babyface is an online retailer of both international and local skincare brands, such as Dermalogica, Maria Åkerberg, Medik8, Clarins, and more. They offer a wide range of professional skin care products; everything from cleansers and creams to mineral-based makeup, for both women and men. On top of that, Babyface is committed to offering their customers a seamless online shopping experience.

With a grid Flow showcasing the best images from their customers, Babyface has made the product discovery journey more inspiring and engaging as they are able to demonstrate the actual performance of a product on fellow customers rather than only models. Scrolling through different user generated content (UGC), visitors can see the product as it is in real life.

When visitors make their way to a product page, aka showing a stronger interest in a certain item, Babyface jumps on the opportunity for conversion by presenting social proof with a Dynamic Product Flow where customers can look for product reviews and purchase insights. This helps the store build the authenticity that shoppers demand and boost the level of trust between consumer and retailer. UGC increases confidence and makes purchasing decisions faster. This is a great way for the business to cross-sell and up-sell, which eventually leads to a greater impact on conversion rate and sales.

Lastly, Babyface is constantly growing their community by inviting their followers to tag their Instagram selfies and “shelfies” with @babyfacesweden to be featured on their inspiration page.
